Donauinselfest 2012

This weekend (June 22-24, 2012) is the 29th Donauinselfest in Vienna, Austria. Take the U1 (red) or U6 (brown) subway line down the to Donauinsel stop. The festival will be hard to miss. It is the largest open air music festival in Europe that is free. Here is where you can find out more information about the festival.

International Business Program in Vienna, Austria

New for the 2013 spring semester, IGE is excited to offer an International Business Program in Vienna, Austria. The program focuses on providing students with real business experience through strong academics and travel. Below are some more details:

Academics:

IGE’s International Business Program in Vienna, Austria focuses on giving students an enhanced understanding of how European companies manage their international sales and distribution around the world. The core course for this program, Managing International Sales and Distribution, examines various marketing strategies that can be used to grow international sales while also exploring the tribulations that many companies run into as they begin to export. In addition to the core course, students enroll in German Language courses and select up to four additional business electives at the University of Vienna.

Travel:

Included in the cost of the International Business Program is a 10 day long trip which tours Central Europe. The itinerary, consisting of Munich, Germany – Prague, Czech Republic – and Krakow Poland, compliments the core course by meeting with a global business in each city where students apply lessons they have learned in their courses to a real business case.

Spring break is in full bloom for many schools around the U.S. and if it isn’t at your school yet – it will be soon. Quite often students finish midterms or finals and jump on a plane to Mexico. Many of these students enter a world of extreme relaxation for an entire week. Their minds float with the clouds as they lay on a beautiful beach. This is the best week of the year for many students…until they return home to school, jump back into their daily routine and realize that they completely forgot to take advantage of the amazing summer study abroad opportunities that IGE has available.
